Where to park for hometime in the five boroughs of NYC? Or even across the border in northeastern New Jersey. Any spots or hints would be great.

I'd start asking store managers, shopping mall managers, etc. about using the back of their lots. Might cost you a few bucks, but it'd be worth it IMHO. Some truckstops will also let you park on hometime, but it'll once again probably cost you some $$. Good luck and keep asking if your getting negative answers, somebody will let ya!!

One time I spent the weekend at the La Quinta in Seacaucus. I parked in the Mill Creek Mall per the instruction of the front desk. Half of the mall is closed, there was a ton of room. I spoke with the security that patrolled the lot and they were cool with it and maybe kept an eye out. The bus to Penn Station is across the street from La Quinta, and it took 20 minutes and $3.15 to get to Manhattan.

Try Nebraska, a lot of unused space. Might need to buy a plane or helicopter to fly to NY.
