That's a really good price. I pay $135 down here in Orlando. Who did you ask at USX. I would get with the trailer department. Have USX pay for the secured lot since that is what they require. It is their truck after all.

I paid $20 a day in Brevard County. $90 seems like a steal honestly.

Im not sure who my husband asked at USX. He just started with this company on Thursday. I think it might have been one of the fleet Managers.

You may want to find out what their definition of a secured lot is. They may just mean they don't want you leaving the truck in the parking lot of a closed business. It'd probably be safer at the Petro than some of the "secured" lots that are nothing more than a poorly lit dirt lot with a chain link fence.

    James42 Thanks this.

We're lucky here at home, our local gas/ts has a lot and so far no problems with hubby leaving truck or trailer there, knock on wood that is.

Just pay the darn $90.00 a month! Small price for 'piece-of-mind'. If they charge you, I'd have to assume that they take full responsibility of the equipment on their property.

Let this be a lesson to other newbies whom can't park their rig at home---set up an approved location BEFORE you sign on with a company.

It's been my experience that recruiters do not leave this information out. They tell you before you go to orientation what their policy is on parking during home time.

If you are home each week, $22.50 per week for secured parking isn't that bad. If you are home once a month $90.00 is a rip off. It is your call.

p.s.- equipment security is a tax write-off expense
