And at USX if you drop a trailer anywhere, you will have to watch that your own people don't turn it in for being lost or stolen to collect the recovery fee. This has happened to hubby once, we parked at the corner mty lot down from daughter for his time off on a Friday. I came back from town and a huge wrecker from Birmingham was hooking up to it, king pin locks don't mean a thing to them. They said it was reported to them that it was abandoned, okay, he just delvd a load to Tuscaloosa using it. They finally dropped it back down, a feat when it is Saturday and hard to get anyone to answer the phone. I just wondered if the person who reported it got their money or not.

At that time it was ok to use the lot and he could leave it there, or down at the other t/s without any problems. It was never mandated then that it had to be fenced, so I don't know about now. Crime rate dictates I think

Seems awfully silly to take on a huge towing bill before atleast ATTEMPTING to make a call to the driver assigned to the trailer to ask if they knew where their trailer was? You sure they didn't try to call your husband first, and your husband ignored the call from the company (as I would) on his time off?
