Did you remove a shelf? I am thinking about mounting a wooden board inside the upper bunk to hold down the fridge micro and some other things

no i didn't as we wanted to keep the lower door's and store things under it, but this is our truck not a company truck.

when we had a company truck (volvo) i did take out the shelf and the lower door's (door latch is on the shelf) and made a 3 sided wooden box for the fridge to sit on.

this is our truck so i spent a little more time and cut some plywood to fit on top of the shelf (the shelf is not flat) and made 2 wood I-beams to fit from the underside of the shelf to the floor so we could keep the shelf with the lower door still working,

BTW lowes does have to fridges in stock like our's

That particular model has bad reviews about the thermostat, I will look at other brands that may be more reliable.
