What the OP fails to grasp is since the cost of buying a new truck has increased so will the cost of renting a truck. The rental companies will make their profit one way or another, and if there are no trucks available then someone is still making money using the high priced rentals.
Now to answer his question. Almost every major truck dealer has some form of rental or leasing program very similiar to Ryder and Penske. There are also regional rental outfits like AIM as well as Enterprise Commercial truck rental. The problem with these outfits is they require good credit, a solid business and proper credentials to rent from them.
To the OP, there are no shortcuts. Either figure out how to make the current market price work or don't, it is that simple. The trucks we use have gone up 30% in the last 18 months and car hauling freight volume is down yet my customers are buying new trucks every day and making it work. So stop making excuses because you didn't hear wjat you wanted to hear.
