I live in Florida, and if I have my company here, I have to pay sales tax on the truck purchase.
So where should I register and creat my LLC?
Where to setup LLC company?

Here's a thread; don't know if it's what you want or not: Delaware or Nevada for an LLC
-
More sales tax than income. Income is going to be the same anywhere I believe.
-
At least in Florida there is no state income tax.
-
So you set up your llc in a no truck tax state, you still need a address to title and tag the truck.
The easiest way is to use a friend or family member in a state where trucks are not taxed, then transfer it to you home state.
Trailers can be titled and tagged in Maine with no tax. -
Essentially you pay taxes based on where you live/do business. If you do business in Illinois, you will pay tax in Illinois, no matter where your LLC or corporation is formed. The draw for Delaware and Nevada corps are for "c" corporations. Those that are taxed as corporations.
mycorporation.com is who I used to form my corporations in the past. They will not give you any advice. -

Read the 1st 9 or 10 paragraphs. Specific to motor vehicles, & the common carrier..
You can get the taxes apportioned by how many miles it actually runs in FL vs outside of FL. With a FL sales tax direct pay permit you won't have to pay sales tax at time of purchase. You will have to pay something, but if like me only 10-15% of your annual mileage is here, it won't be much. Might be easier than basing the "office" out of state.?
Disregard this post if you plan on being FL intrastate only..Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Dealers says if registration is Florida, then they have to charge me 6.5% at time of purchase.
-
if you are using it for interstate commerce, you have partial rolling stock exemption applied to the purchase and you pay taxes on the mileage as said here ...
singlescrewshaker Thanks this. -
In case somebody else stumbles across this thread:
You will need a Florida direct tax pay certificate.
This will allow you to buy a truck in Florida while living in Florida, and then submit the apportioned amount of tax later. As most of us don't run much in Florida even though we live here, it might be as low as .065%Bean Jr. Thanks this.
