Check out Panther Expedite . No experience necessary in a straight truck and they don't put you with a trainer . Most of the trucks are automatic . You could possibly start as an O/O with your own cargo van but rates for them aren't that great and there is a surplus of vans in the industry .
With expedite you don't run regular routes so you will see a lot of the country .

Thanks but not looking to be a owner operator which is what their site says. They don't own any company trucks. So far scooter jones has given me the best recommendation. May Trucking Company seems to have mostly what I am looking for but I want to have several options in case I can't get in with one. So it's between May Trucking or Watkins Sheppard for now. I also need to decide on a school in california.

Not totally correct....they do NOT have company trucks but they do have owner operators that may hire you to drive for them.....but may is an excellent opportunity

I am wondering how u can get trained if you don't have a trainer team driving with you during training? A y where are you good luck , i drove for about 15 years and then got out of driving, i am recently thinking of getting back i a truck but reading these forums is giving me second thoughts... Any wY good luck and Albion is my favorite place to go to the ocean for scuba diving. Was there last sunday and caught a bunch of lings.

Lol wow you know where Albion is. Yeah I would think you need to go with a trainer to learn anything. Seems risky to be put out there on your own right away.

But I can have it both ways...Knight for one does not team while training. Says right on their website and I am sure others do that too. Basically I want me and the trainer to stop every day when we sleep. No driving continuous. The other guy already said May does not team. I don't even know if I am going to do this or not I am just considering it at this point. I got a year to think it over.

Real driver training is to have the driver trainer awake and 2nd seating while the trainee 1st seats. Most companies have the trainer and trainee team drive which isn't as good.
