I'm getting into Denver Sat night and don't reload till Tuesday. Seeing as I've never been there, what area of town and where is the nicest truckstop in the area? All your help is appreciated.

Nothing is great but TA Commerce City is probably the best. It is the one on 70/270 and I think ext 278. But still low rent. Getting in on Sat should be ok but don't plan on finding a spot in Denver getting in past 6pm on the week nights.

what's this denver you speak of?

Forget about the J or the Pilot unless you want to spend some time at the body shop getting a new hood.

Sapps is better. In my opinion.
Angle parking makes it "easier" and there is/was a small liquor store across the street from the truck parking.
If you like having a refreshment on your time off. -
or just head up to Bricks house... just tell him I said it's okay
SHC Thanks this. -
Yeah, I had booked a load there that paid quite well, but the only thing I could find coming out was empty tin cans that delivered into WAY north Minnesota. I have to sit for 2 days for the reload tho out of Denver so I called up dispatch and asked them to take me off the load. I got a load from Paris, TX instead going back home. To hell with these southern rates, I'm going back to the midwest and staying there.

hey go to the pilot--in the back row---you will love it--honest--i wounldnt screw you around---would i???
actually you are better off finding a dirt parking lot--- and a lot safer -
I had a dedicated gig for some time out of Denver and loved the area. So I get tempted to take a good paying load over a weekend for Monday delivery then remember the rates coming out. And at times I get a rate that more than makes up the difference but I just won't haul anything for $1.40/mile. And that seems to be a good rate out these days.

I agree with Brickman, the Sapp Bros is much better than the Commerce City TA. It does fill up rather quickly in the evening. The Wheat Ridge TA is a dump.
There's also a Tomahawk T/S at I70 x295 - a little dingy, but the restaurant is OK. The Walmart at Tower Rd (I70 x286) has limited truck parking.
On I76, there's a Tomahawk at x16 in Brighton, and a Love's in Hudson at x31.
