Just don't get too expectant of the term "every" in the context of weekends home, and don't figure on being there for happy hour every Friday at 5:00. Otherwise, a lot depends on where you live as to who might offer the best shot at reasonably consistent weekends home-time, maybe it will be a flatbed carrier, maybe van.

yea I get the same answer from everyone..I dont care if im not home everyweekend but i mean come on they have to get u home sometime...lol

Think of "weekend" as maybe about a total of 34-40 hours or so, and do not expect EVERY weekend. You will be a little dissappointed. Like, you might get home on Friday night, and have to head back out Sunday morning. Sometimes get home Saturday afternoon and leave out exactly 34 hours later on Sunday. A "weekend" in this industry is not like off Friday at 5pm and not going back into work until 8am on Monday morning.
I drive flatbed for Maverick, they are very good about getting me home every "weekend." Don't let your hometime be the number one factor in your happiness in this industry, or you won't last very long.critters Thanks this.
