The Bay area as well as places like San Diego are zoned such as NOT to allow truck stops!! They want out 'stuff' but dont want us around there!!! Up theirs.........:biggrin_25516::biggrin_25522:

Tampa,FL because all the ones around here are small and nasty, and I wouldnt charge to park.......but you would have to show the guard your green card to even come into the lot :biggrin_255: oh yea and the buffet wouldnt cost you 15dollars either

The Pittsburgh area, there are no truckstops in town, and the closest ones are still out of town. And Detroit, in the actual metro area, since we do have some large truckstops but they are either dumps (The Detroiter, and that one on Wyoming on the Dearborn/Detroir border) or they are WAY out of town (T/A Baker Rd., west of Ann Arbor).

Just off the the exit is 40+ acres for sale. It's just off the turnpike and about 1 1/2 or so miles from 295 also. I am from the area so I'm by it all the time been for sale quite a while. With parking the way it is in the area it's a great spot, I don't think it would ever get the proper zoning however, there are newer homes/condos right in the area and I'm sure they would raise holy hell over it although you never know. If I had the coin I would definately look at it but I don't so I won't.

They J here in Denver is one of the worst designed parking lots in the country. I live just down the road from there and refuse to park or fuel there. Fortunatly my company has a drop yard here. (NO IT IS NOT SWIFT) :biggrin_2559:

The pilot here is also very bad. The TA is not bad. Sapp bros you can fuel and leave but parking can be a mess. The reason there are no TS between here and UT is the National Parks and such. I would think they would make an exception but who knows. Going north on I-25 there are some in Longmont. Going South on 25 there is no major ones. Some nice rest stops.
If I was going to build some I would want one south of Jacksonville, FL towards Miami. Just more in FL period. I would also like a couple more on I-80 to handle the volume so you can find a place to sleep out west. (I do liek the one in GRAND ISLAND, NE. I think I would also put more TS in CA.
