That one has me scratching my head. Got the Stage stop and then the old Gear Jammer in Mountain home and a huge rest area on the west side, and truck stops every 30 miles on the east side.
There used to be a very nice cafe at Bliss, ID where the Loves is being built. That intersection sees a lot of traffic coming in off US26, so it is a good location. Any new truck stop is welcomed. It means there are more fueling spots so the jamups at other places are eased.
I wish Loves would build a truck stop in Hesperia Ca so that, that #### Pilot there has a competition. That place is super busy especially their showers, always has a guest in line for shower. Many drivers will be happy if they can build like the one in Sidney, NE or Bliss, ID
That is true although I thought large companies like Loves, Flying J, Petro would all have plenty of cash to make the kind of purchase required to put a large Truck stop in LA?
Any truck stop in Central L.A. would be full the first day with owner-operators using it as their home terminal. Also, it would probably be as dangerous as any truck stop in the country.
I have heard the vacant lot across Pilot near the arco is owned by Loves, not sure if there’s truth to it. I find it much better for me Stopping in Barstow instead heading all the way to Hesperia or Ontario.
Maybe, but it all come down to return on investment. In the middle of nowhere Michigan, about 15 minutes east of Flint Loves tried to put in a truck stop. In the paper they claimed it cost $750,000 because of all the permits, studies, etc... Now, think of how much more it would cost in California.
I see that they re building a new Love s in Tullahoma, TN I 24 exit 117. That will give TN 4 Love s across I 24.
They could use a few Loves off of the Florida Turnpike. Those travel plazas fill up early. The only chains off that turnpike is Okeechobee Pilot and the Pilot in Fort Pierce
councilbluffs ia or omaha ne. they had one south of councilbluffs ia an the flood took it out. loves took the money from the ins. company an ran.
