Hi All -
When I was about to give up on the idea of getting to a CDL school because of financial concerns......
A school in Victorville contacted me and said "Get in here", they are fronting the tutition AND paying me $250. per week while in school.
So, I am going on Monday.
Want to take this time to THANK everyone who responded to my previous postings.
Now that it is here, I have the fear of failure.
So, you may have another long hair out there behind the wheel in 3 weeks.
I hope you all have a safe trip, no matter who you drive for. Try to keep the one finger peace signs to a minimum.
Hope I'm making the right decision.
Where'd that come from ?

Congrats! Relax, it'll go fine. Just pay attention and learn as much as you can!

GREAT! The best of luck to ya. And listen to me very carefully. If you only knew how many absolute imbusoles have a CDL you would not be concerned at all about failure. I promise you that it amazes me sometimes to see how low of an IQ some of theses drivers have out here. You absolutly can and will learn to drive a truck. Just go and have as much fun as you can........Peace
Papa T Thanks this. -
trust me, too (I dare yah). It's not in the best interest of the school to fail you (I have a quibble here, but will save it for later). They want you to pass - it looks good on their record if they can say "99% of our students get their CDL", or something to that effect.
From my oh so extensive experience, you WILL have some aspect you just can't wrap your brain around. For me, it was parallel parking. I *STILL* can't do it, no matter all the help the instructors provided.. Took a large hit on it during the test, but still passed easily.Papa T Thanks this.
