I know CRE is all evil. Setting that aside, I remember in school, the one class was about additives and gimmicks.

The dude is like," We have 5000 tractors. If any of that stuff saved even half a gallon of fuel a day above what it costs, don't you think we'd be using it?"

 

You think for a moment those morons are gonna put any more money into that operation as they have too? If that was the case they would be running like Mesilla Valley Transportation and Nussbaum Transportation.

 

Well he went on to say," If I could walk into Dan's office and tell him I've figured a way to save him 15,000 gallons a week in fuel, I'd have the office next to him the next day."

 

I know Nussbaum Transportation average over 9 MPG on the fleet with some going 11 so that might get him to that number with how many trucks they have.

 

Well this was 17 years ago. If you could have gotten them 9 I'm certain you'd gotten some percentage of the company as well.

 

I was seeing the top performers back around 2013-14 was around 7.3 and got a Harley given to them for being top MPG per qtr.

 

I think they're pretty far from morons actually. He used to have this 600HP Century that had the CRE trailer decals on the side, and it said," The King of England" on it.

I imagine he and his wife would go on runs after someone put a good customers load in a lake someplace. He'd walk in receiving like anyone else, except he'd ask to see the boss.

 

One time I was picking up my truck from FL shop.

We was talking about the low gear ratios with the autos. Something like 2.62 rear ends iirc.

My truck at the time was fairly new but had the 13sp and 3 something rears still. I had no plans to drive an auto when the truck was ordered.
