I'm alive...... Just been real busy.

 

Doing nothing but snot runs. Everytime I get serious about quitting, I start getting really good paychecks lol. Hard to go work a new field and not even gross what you're netting at the old one. Granted I'd be going from a 70 hour week to 40, but still, ouch.

Get my rear chewed today and I was really disappointed in how bad my temper got. I was on a single lane frontage road that turned into a two lane, with a off ramp from the hwy turning into a new lane. I had a yield sign for some reason even though I had my own lane and the off ramp had theirs.
I approach the sign and see there is a big pickup just starting down the ramp. I go, the driveway I need is less than a block away. I enter the yard and pull up on the scale and this .....woman pulls up in her pickup, gets out, hops on the scale and start running her mouth about me running the yield sign. She was well behind me and I didn't see her flashers on, so I went. But the princess was going to the same place and had to hit her brakes so the world ended.

I only said 2 things to her "There was 2 lanes and you had your own lane" and "whatever makes you feel happy" and turned my back on her and walked to the scale office. She was either some bodies wife there or an office employee, and used to cowing people. She continued to run her mouth and I shot her 'the look' and she stumbled back mid sentence. Could have cared less what happened after that.
It was just amazing that people think they can just get in a complete strangers face and run their mouths and there not be possible consequences.

 

Take an Uber to Perth Amboy train station. Its about $5 and 5 minute drive.

Take NJ Transit train to NY Penn Station. $12.25 one way and about an hour ride.

Should be around $35 round trip for a day off in NYC from Express Container in Keansby.

I've done this 5 times the past year. By far my favorite place for a 34 reset!!!

 

I'm here, Took a couple vac. days off been sick, running a fever and cant breathe.
Fevers gone but the chest is still congested, Back to work in the morning

Crap, sorry to hear that, man. @Grubby had that a few days ago, and broke his thumb in the process. Be well, brother. Rest, hydrate, and stay safe....know ya will. Naptime for 0230 for me.

 

Corny, I know..... LoL.. us old folk get like this sometimes!!

 

I feel ya man. My boss's wife IS my dispatcher. (soon to be his ex, so at least she likes ME atm.... dang...for you.)

I know those split yield lanes you speak of...and the Princess is "always" right. Or not.
