Off the road today finished back at the yard at 01:15 this morning after driving through a massive thunder storm, our work is weather sensitive so lots of rain means less work as we can't deliver to Cattle properties due to wet roads and farmers don't want any Cattle supplements with all the green grass available after the good rainfall.
Where's u tankers loading at this morning

Had to pull a 16 yesterday at s Customer in Terre Haute.In.
Brought in a new product to them and they didnt have the right scan code for this stuff.
Basically they have to have that code to open the valves of the tank. 4 1/2 hrs. there.
Only 45 min to unload.ChicagoJohn and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
Been here loading almost 4 hours. They didn't call me in until 2 hours past my appt time and apparently they have 8 new hires because they can't keep people, so its taken them almost 2 hours to load me because papa duck has his little ducklings following him around.
I've never seen a plant with this much turnover. Its an $18 an hour Job with lots of OT.Last edited: Oct 17, 2017
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Welp, customer didn't have enough room in the tank so I'm spending the night at the local truck stop. There was a truck ahead of me with the same product that had been waiting since yesterday morning so he goes first. My next load is bound for Mexico, so I relay it off in Houston/Pasadena and its got enough time on it that I wont lose it. I haven't been down in Texas in over a year so I'm looking forward to it. Also these Mexican loads pay a premium.

Still staying busy. Sat to Tues I did a Kansas City out and back with a tankwash layover built in since the tank has to be washed within 8 hours of loading. That makes for an easy 2,000 mile round trip in 4 days. Delivered that load today. Heading out in the morning for a Plaquemine out and back that I will need rollover hours to complete so another easy trip. Won't have to push the clock since I will be out 3 nights anyway.

I'm so glad I don't ever have to sit and wait, pulling asphalt; they can't get me in OR out fast enough, LoL. No tank washes either~!
