I've been working out of Houston since April, and I'm burnt out on it.

Yeah I hear that. I got tired of running hard and no home time. I was ready to fake quit and read my boss the riot act. Then I got three days off.

You don't live in Houston, so it would suck to be there all the time.

    Exactly.

That, and the 4-wheelers here are awful. But at least the weather is finally cooling off.

Enterprise. Great company, and they have plenty of work here. But I'm not a city boy.

Edit: And I don't want to live in the truck.

    austinmike Thanks this.

I'm stuck at the J in Channelview until wednsday. Dispatch is so screwed up, I almost quit and drove back to all on my own dime. They had me loading Shreveport at 9pm monday, then wanted me to go to midland, unload, find a tankwash that will do a polymer wash quickly after hours (ha!) Then go to Houston and load at 10 am wednsday. Told them they had a 38 hour window and to tell me how to drive 1200 miles, load at a customer that loads habitually late, they were 5 hours late loading me on friday alone, unload at a customer that's takes 2-3 hours, washout and get to the customer to load , and do it legally. So they pulled the Shreveport load off me and just sent me here.
The other guys running snot are scattered all over. We actually had all 5 trucks loading the same day. Then they have guys swapping products, so they have to washout out. But the products they're swapping, the other guy was hauling. Why the hell would you have a guy hauling FR-CAT go take an FR-LC load, and then in the same breath, have another guy hauling LC take a CAT load, when they're running only a few hours apart?! That's $500 in wasted tankwashes.
We still have guys running loose leaf, even though elogs are a month away and these idiots WILL NOT change their ways.

I can't see them being in business much longer, or at least running trucks down here. Some guys are only getting 2 loads a week. That's a grand a week for living in a truck.

    I just don't get it
