    In other news, Midway airport cancelled all flights yesterday.
    Reason, They ran out of deicing fluid.
    How that happens?

    Someone posted on FB IMTT Lemont ran out out deicer.

    I almost dropped my my this morning. Fifth wheel was iced up. I needed to use a blow torch to melt the ice. I always do a tug test, so I caught it before my became a nightmare.

    On another note, i-55 & I-80 were both complete flustered ducks this morning with black ice.

    Me too hooked did the tug test, lost of snow so just spun my drives, hook the hoses and light cord stuck my head under to double check and seen my jaws open.

    I nominate the conversation of post #2570 through #2575 of this thread as conversation of the year. Everyone, particularly the inexperienced drivers, can learn something in those posts. I can't pull them out and make them a sticky, but I would if I could.

    Y'all are experienced drivers and came very close to dropping the trailers but taking the time to check and double check that the 5th wheel was, in fact, locked around the king pin, allowed you to avoid serious heartache. Job well done as far as I'm concerned.
