Well I was going to do an out n back to Orlando this weekend....but my truck decided it wasn't going to boost more than 12-15psi today. So it looks like I'll have the holiday weekend off unless its a quick and easy fix that gets done by friday afternoon, but I'm not counting on it.

Went in at 9:30am yesterday. Got back into my car to come at 02:20 am this morning. Screw hauling milk! Redoing the resume as soon. As I run down and grab some coffee. Its means I'm going to have to move again. I wish I hadn't spent so much moving down here. Dont really have alot saved up, but I cant handle this crap anymore. I have never been this stressed or this unhappy.
I had a set schedule that I could adjust as needed to fit the farm and the various plants I go to. I know what times I need to be there to beat the rushes and what not and I like waking up early and getting a job on thinks. I just really hated the unpaid wait times at the plants. But I dealt with it because I was the lead guy on that run and I got all my loads, with minimal fuss. It just sucked there was so much unpaid time wasted at the plants and then deal with 2 hours of commuting everyday.
Now we are running super tankers and slip seating, and they have me on A rotating schedule. Before it was 3am(I choose to come in that early) until I got done, on average 12-14 hours, Sunday through Thursday.
Now its 1am-1pm sunday Monday and 1pm - 1am Wednesday and thursday.
But that's with 2 drivers in one truck. You cant plan on what the farm produces and you cant plan on what the plants are doing and have 2 drivers try to coordinate any type of balance. And if we couldn't do smaller trucks and smaller tankers in 12 hours, how would it possibly work in this case?
It took only one day with the new tanker and were already 4 hours off schedule before the farm didnt produce much milk and it took 5 hours to unload just one load last night.
I have to admit defeat. Looking at Oregon, Texas, Louisiana. I'd like somewhere that is not a big city, amazing for riding a motorcycle, cost of living is good and crime is reasonable. Has to be tanker work. I've thought about LTL, but I honestly cant do any extra board again.
Just frustrating. You'd think after 15 years, I'd find a place to be happy.
Maybe I finally need to get my own truck. But I dont know of very many successful Tanker O/O. The ones ones I know all g re agitate back to flatbed or ReeferBud A. Thanks this. -
