After a long hiatus I will be returning to tanks as a fuel hauler. Spent good part of the day doing paperwork Gonna be training for some time.

Roads weren't bad this morning. You could tell they were earlier. 3 trucks jacknifed in the woods between the 205 and Gary on I65.

Glad I didn't roll. There was another truck wreck and the load all over the road on 80 94 East between the state line and 80 split. 10 mile back up 294.

Had I run this morning I would have gotten that on the way back. Load would have been a day late. Not now.

And it rained all the way to Youngstown. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the customer will let me unload early, otherwise I'll be camping out in grand rapids.

On another note, I'm a little rusty keeping everything smooth. 3 months of dumps and I forget how to pull a tank.

In a week you'll be driving like you never stopped pulling a tank.

I drove through all that stuff from Baltimore back up to Maine. Started as rain/sleet in MD and changed over to sleet/snow in nj and didnt let up at all. Only saw 3 wipe outs on the way, all of them on 287 in the hills just before the Tappanzee Bridge. I think most people just stayed home which is where I should have been but owell.

My preloaded was overweight. Didn't waste much time, saw the paperwork and the weight and was like "nope" and headed home. I suggested the person who preloaded it be the one to take it back to shipper (2 hours away) but in the end it just went to a driver with a lighter truck. He'll still be overweight on the axles but hey thats not my problem. Shipper knows, and us drivers all know its not supposed to be loaded over 45k, this was almost 47k but since it was a friday afternoon live load they ran with it for me to find it monday morning...

Went to the Sappi mill in Westbrook ME. today to load #6 oil, to take up to the Sappi mill Skowhegan. I was 3rd in line and it took over 4 hrs to get loaded. The 500,000 gal. tank has a leak and has been leaking about 2,000 gals. a day. Superior Carriers has also been helping to haul it out.
