Antifreeze? That's interesting. I used to carry a can of hydraulic or brake fluid to use. They actually told me in training that motor oil would work. I could see it gumming up the lines but it's something you might have on hand.

I was told in training to was whatever I could find in an emergency but to let maintanance know right away so they could fix the problem and flush the lines out.

Reason I was given for using antifreeze in the hydraulic pump was that it took any water out the system. Also readily on hand.

Loaded in Abbeville, LA yesterday, going to some remote site, that I won't be able to find ,near Parshall, ND.
As usual with this customer, the product, any and all PO, bol, and pickup numbers are wrong. The appointment time is wrong so I'm 5 hours early and they haven't even made the product yet. I tell dispatch that not one drop of product is coming anywhere near my tank until they confirm what I'm picking up. This place names all their products similar to each other. My dispatch says scale inhibitor 7924. The customer says they are making 7925, that they already sent out the 7924.
I get yelled at by one of their drivers because I wasn't smart enough to know exactly what he wanted me sitting in the truck, parked by the fence as I was told to do, by him just honking his horn and glaring at me. So the jackwagon pulls in front of me and backs up within 10 feet, undoes all his straps(he was a flatbed) and sits there and smirks.
They finally called me and I hop out, move a barrel, drive next to him, hop out and move the barrel back and go to my loading area with him glaring.
Hour later I'm done loading.
Then I spent 40 minutes watching them load totes on the scale, which is also a loading area.
I finally weight and then spent 40 minutes trying to get my paperwork and then having the guy redo them twice because he is so preoccupied, he's missing things.
8 hours from start to finish, I'm rolling. I only made it back to Shreveport before I called it a day.
We pick alot of loads out of there and I've hated everyone of them. They always go to North Dakota, to some remote site that only 2 people in the whole state can find, then it's an automatic fight with dispatch because they can't figure out from the past 70 runs that there are 2...........2 tankwash within a 400 Mile radius that will wash out that particular product.Bud A., slim shady and ChicagoJohn Thank this. -
I've gotten so spoiled. I actually had to use a hose from my hose rack and break out my fittings. That actually felt like work.

Picking up in Willow Springs with a delivery over near Pittsburgh tomorrow morning. From there I'll hopefully be heading towards home for the weekend.
