I jumped in a company truck yesterday to do some short local moves. I’ve come to realize, I really despise 389’s. They look great, but I’d kill mussels if I had to drive one every day, there’s no room at all in them. (At least in a flat top)

 

W9's are even worse. If you want room you have to go with Western Star, its like a football field in there.

 

389s have room, but not between the seats.

 

Not the flat top I drove. I smacked my head twice going between the bunk & cab.

 

Yeah you have to be careful. I smacked my head in a flat top before. Then turned around and fell into the studio sleeper( the sleeper steps down) all in the same day.

 

Mine has a stand-up sleeper attached, and I've never had any trouble in the cab. But I'm 5'8", YMMV if you're taller than me.

Prepping today for a Houston to McCarran, NV to Oakland, CA to Dallas and then back to Houston. I'm investigating whether or not I can park the truck at or near the Hoover Dam so I can visit for the first time.
