Our company record was 11 hours to drop a load there. Again, that was to drop an ISO there for them to unload. The lab was in a pissing contest with operations that week. 6 guys got held up 8+ hours just to drop tanks.

Went to pick up in New Bern, NC yesterday, already upset because it was another one of those 'Oh you can drive 136 miles to a tankwash, then another 100 miles to the shipper, load, and do another 780 miles to be at the consignee by 7am the next day. ' dispatches.
It just amazes me how they have zero idea of what their trucks are doing at any given time.

So I show up to the customer and am immediately worried. The place is old, mos treated, a mud pit, with green pools all over the place. It's an small fertilizer plant. Everybody I see is in shorts, t-shirts and sneakers. Finally find someone to help me, tell him what I'm picking up and where I'm going...............

2 hours later I'm told Im actually 2 days early and the load wont be ready until Thursday. They have a load ready to put into a truck, but there is a truck that is coming to pick it up on Wednesday. That driver was supposed to load monday, but showed up and had no idea what he was picking up and where he was going and he showed up an hour before quiting time. He was supposed to come back tuesday morning but never showed up. They finally get ahold of him and he says he 'forgot '. And he was a day early.

Turns out the plant is really behind, but no one bothered to tell the scheduler, who was scheduling trucks off an incorrect load sheet for product that hadnt even been made yet.

So I drove 90 miles back to J so I could shower and laundry and not get jumped or robbed by locals. I'll do a reset and be there Thursday morning and deliver friday afternoon and probably get stuck in Florida until Monday, if the tank wash closes before I can get to it

Well my one load turned into two today. The mill in Baileyville ordered 5 loads of caustic for the lime kiln, so I went out there after going to Jay. Today turned into a 14 hr 45 min day for me and when I finally parked I had less than 10 mins on my 11 hr clock. As of right now I have only one load going to Jay tomorrow.

Been running caustic the last 2 days rubber suit and all, at least it isn't hot yet.
Got a call from my TM. And an excellent call at that
All Chicagoland drivers are getting a $2.00 an hr increase.
