Im local too, so i cant compare me and @19d s running 3 weeks at a time, its good money for 1st yr tanker. Ill be near 38k at the end of the 2nd quarter and thats with an occasional sat. Mixed in.
I guess where you live makes a huge difference.

Bud A. and G13Tomcat Thank this.

I hear you there, man. Really do. Even tho I'm home "daily" ... wife still takes care of a lot of the things, so we have our weekends for fun (or chores, lol.) It took some training to get to this point, (for her, I mean~ hehehe..)

I think its DANG good money for 1st year tanker. Wish I'd've started out my OTR career like that... ya know? I'm about where you're at, too. I started out slow, tho...winter didn't wanna quit too quick for me.
I get those "occasional" Saturdays mixed in, too..... which I don't mind. Yep, true... location, locaton, LOCATION~! You've got the pick of the crop there, in CHI town, I'm sure. Not bad here in Ohio, either, for sure. Always a tank job here or somewhere, be it milk, bulk, ag, tar, etc..!

    Bud A. Thanks this.

I'm at 32k now. I'll get another 1k this week, so hopefully 64k at the end of the year. You blow me out of the water for hometime.

The local tankers by the house are pulling for synagro, they all own their own trucks and pull synagro trailers.
