You need to ask the FCC and not some LIE on a forum. Because the FCC has not given anyone other Ham radio operators the use of 10 & 12 meters. Also the FCC does not have the authority to give anyone these bands anyway. So you really don't have a clue about anything and are misinformed. The ITU makes the rules.

Whatever you buy, just make sure it has a durable OFF switch. You will find that OFF is the best position in most cases.

You must also be a Ham Op! Most of the time Hams are the only people that make a big deal over Free Banding. Here are several sights that you can look at to give you a better idea on what free banding is and how it works. Make sure you read everything and make the decision for your self before blurting out something untrue about something you dont know anything abouy

I amalso told that there is a 2 meter band that is usable to the publis as well. Never looked into it tho. May be something to look into. I am not 100% positive about this but I will look into it.

OK Mad Dog 20/20. No where did I say we could talk on the actual 10or 12 meter bamds. Again I am repeating info that was not comprehended correctly once again. Free banding gives you the ability to use 10 and 12 meter channels that are not used by Ham Ops! Please make sure you read the post in its entirety before you call someone a liar or discredit your self by posting something you obviously know nothing about. Hooked on Phoniex is a great way to improve your comprehension skills.

    :biggrin_25513: Sorry but ......

You don't have the right to talk on anything below Ch-1 or above Ch-40. ( 47 CFR 95.407 )

There is no such thing as a freeband if there was it would be called out under part 15, 95 or 97 .....

If you come up with such a rule PLEASE show it to all of us ......

Marrowbone boy, please give us a real link that states in black and white that free banding is legal in the US. I looked over a couple of your links that actually brought me to a site and non of them showed me were freebanding was legal.

Don't get me wrong though because freebanding is happening all over.

Some are using the RC feqs also and that is a no no. That causes people to get hurt.
