What time of day are you trying to arrive?
Where are you coming from?
Downtown & around the port is narrow streets & crowded. Like any metropolitan area, it has some issues, but nothing a competent driver can't handle.
Use Google maps & do a little planning & you'll be fine. -

2 of mine are states, and not because of difficulty driving.
In no particular order...
1. NYC - low clearance bridges/roads, narrow roads, illegally parked cars, confusing road signs, and prick drivers.
2. Maine, not because of the roads, but because there is NOTHING there. Better make sure you have fuel, food, and liquid because you may be far away from civilization.
3. Indiana as a whole. They are a probable cause state, meaning that in order to do an inspection, you have to do something wrong in order to get pulled over. If you go over 1 mph over the speed limit, they will pull you over, ticket you, and do an inspection. -
Austin ,TX ...can suck big time.....

Seattle,Wa., Portland,Or, and the NE. L.A. isn't to bad if ya know your way around. Banning Scales haven't been a problem for me. The deal there is to not to give the DOT Bears an attiude. I had one tell me outright that the reason 90% of the drivers that get a ticket there is because of their attuide, which is also true with the majority of LEO's. Its not if they can write you a ticket, its will they? The best way to reduce the chances of getting a ticket is not to give them a reason too.

In America? Austin is a nightmare for traffic. When passing thru, I take the toll and relax.
In the world? Caracas, Venezuela. A complete madhouse maze of tiny streets and hills with millions and millions of bikers riding the stripes that divide the lanes. Buses hauling ### with 70 people inside. Not to mention there were more deaths last year in this city than in all of the Iraq war.
It has always been said, if you can drive in Caracas you can drive anywhere. That's probably why I've never been scared in this country. I survived Caracas, I can survive anything lol
Just my two cents... -
I've been driving for about 3 weeks now.
In this time I have driven about 4 times through the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island.
I did not enjoy it at all. Had 3 close calls where outta nowhere a car shoots from the left lane cross your lane to exit, only to be blocked by exiting traffic IN that lane, meaning the shooting car is now broad side in your lane. Learn the brakes quick!
They won't let you over. You have to force your rig into their lane. This one guy stops in the middle of the lane and WAITS for me to hit him.
Dang sure almost did too. Probably had 4" between my left tandem wheel and his front fender on that Mercedes.
They drive like maniacs in NYC. Narrow roads. Weird construction. Not much warning for bridges or exits. Gotta know the roads or plan your route.
I was just thankful (and lucky) my trainer was with me to at least navigate me out of that maze. But the driving was all me. -
come on out to Minneapolis Metro area....it SUCKS....
