As I said before I got serious arthitic problems and can't lift a whole lot. I put in for roadmaster as it isn't currently possible for me to be able to pay for a community college. I also have the opportunity to train for my CDL directly with swift. I know the programs are a rip off but I gotta do what I gotta do.
Just wondering what company you would think would be best to work for. I've been looking at swift, werner and roehl. I know the pays bad and read the horror stories but I got to start somewhere.
I would be driving vans and NO flatbeds. Also I would like somewhere around 95% no touch freight. I want to stay out for weeks at a time and be willing to drive the whole lower 48 and Canada. I do have a passport.
I'm looking for somewhere around 2,500 to 3,000 miles a week.
If anyone is working at a company now that has its own CDL school or works with roadmaster and is getting and knows others who are getting 2,500 to 3,000 driving vans with 95% no touch let me now please. I would ask recruiters but I don't trust their figure on current average driver mileage.
which comapanies?

Reefer companies are going to be your best bet if you want "no touch" freight. Central Ref is a pretty good company and they also have "in house" schooling with very little money upfront. Good luck to you!

I figured reefers would require more lifting, but I guess I was wrong. Thanks for the advice. I've been reading on central refrigeration on the forum and think I'll send in an application.
