CDL school is first and foremost a business designed to get your fee.
The school I just graduated from even told me that they only care that you can be safe enough not to kill anyone on the road. If I had more time and it was available in Las Vegas, I would have gone to a community college program. Private CDL schools have to turn and burn students to make money, because running a trucking school is expensive. The company you go to will have more motivation to train you because they have a vested interest in making you a decent driver due to the insurance they have to pay.

I went through unemployment and got the whole works for free, all endorsements and haz-mat. Then signed on to CRST for my rookie training, not bad if you like team driving. They are all about the same, what one does not like another will love so just do your home work and pick the right one. Try to get your CDL without going to one specific carrier. And good luck
