age discrimination. unless they are required to be a certain age for insurance requirements, it would be illegal to not hire someone because of their age
-
#1...there is an age requirement.
#2...two candidates, neither of whom has their CDL. One is a youngin', the other has years of proven job stability. The older applicant has years of driving with a spotless MVA. As the HR manager, which one would you hire? -
Discrimination isn't illegal. It's only illegal against a few special groups that are apparently too weak to cope with what everyone else copes with during their life. -
Well I’m 26 and looking for a career change. I don’t mind doing a year of paid cdl schooling. Do y’all have any more suggestions that will lead me to Tanker? Thank you guys!

@Chinatown They was great. I’m stuck between Jim Palmer and Schiender.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
If you want to run the roads and see the country, go with Jim Palmer Trucking.Jflo123 Thanks this. -
They will not pay for your school but with that said I do believe you should look into superior carriers program. The entry level driver training program seems to be really good. Get your self into a school that is approved by your closest terminal and then apply after you finish. They hire fresh CDL people and you'll be really setting yourself up for a great career IMO. Also recently they upped the pay in all departments. Training pay now is at 20 dollars a hour, you really can't beat it IMO. I'm starting with them December 17th and just counting down the days myself I beyond can not wait.
Jflo123 Thanks this.
