I wouldn't worry about that, just apply to any company which can help you out with the female trainer issue. Getting your foot into the door and making money is more important right now for you. As for your driving record, don't really worry about that either, my company hired a guy who had his license suspended for parking tickets three times and he has several tickets. He is assigned to landscaping company right now but I expect he will be driving a michigan train soon (that's what he wants to do).
Which companies only go back 3 years on your MVR?

It is in the eyes of prospective employers ACCIDENTS do actually count when trying to get you cleared by their insurance carriers.
Not being a so called SUPER TRUCKER just pointing out the facts from an employers side of things , we have to deal with what the INSURANCE companies dictate based on your RECORDS that they checkLast edited: Feb 2, 2014

My advice is when driving a big truck don't follow too close. When the light turns yellow start braking. Don't try to figure out if the vehicle in front of you is going to roll through a yellow light or stop. Best of luck getting a job.

Op, don't listen to any of these "super truckers" besides the people trying to help you. IMO they all have 0 intelligence but because they have no accidents on there record they think u just committed a murder or something. The majority (not all) of truck drivers with experience look down on "noobs" like they r trash but in reality just go to a truck stop and look at some of the idiots that drive for companies that require experience trying to back into a parking spot with 2 spots in between trucks. I have seen some get so disgusted that they can't get it in the hole, they just pull out and go park somewhere that they don't have to back. Your record isn't bad at all and I agree with you 100% if a charge is dismissed it should be no where to be found. Good Luck with your adventures and if you haven't already, maybe try PTL and of course western express will hire almost anyone. If you could hold off and wait for a trainer, that would be the best choice since you are already hired but I see financially u cant really do that.

HotH2o, your advice doesn't matter. Drive your truck the way you want to and don't worry about the way anyone else drives. She didn't come to this forum asking how to drive, she is asking a very simple question. "Which companies only go back 3 years on a MVR?" I have yet to see that answered.........still waiting for that answer "super truckers"

Since you seem to KNOW IT ALL ( based on your posting attitude ) so why are you not posting a detailed list of "Which companies only go back 3 years on a MVR?"

There are companies that will hire you, but the pay will suffer.
However
^^^THIS scares me. You say you want to go OTR, yet don't trust yourself not to get into an accident with a CAR? Because it's raining or snowing? I'd have to question whether driving a truck is for you. Crap happens but if your nervous behind the wheel of a car, then your just a timebomb behind the wheel of a truck. Regardless of your skill to drive one, it seems you may not have the nerve to drive. -
im not afraid to drive a car or a truck. you're reading it all wrong.
