Recruiter told me the same thing...although they may make you paper log while they are being inspected for teh accuracy of their paperless system.

I just finished orientation at ROEHL , they've already started going paperless on the newer tractors and should be completely paperless sometime next year.

My current company, Epes Transport, is testing paperless logs. They asked drivers who were willing to be volunteers if they'd like to have a go at them.

Needless to say, I wasn't one of them. They are making the transition, but I'm not sure when they go completely paperless. We hear a lot of conflicting information.

I can also tell you authoritatively that Davis Transfer in Carnesville, GA is also paperless. We talked with a driver about 6-9 months ago who said that they were REQUIRED to go paperless. He wasn't so sure about going paperless at the time Davis made that move, but said that for him, it was the best move they ever made. He's making more miles than before.

For me personally, I just don't know. It seems like a good move if it truly works. But then again, it's just more government intervention and those folks sticking their nose in where it doesn't belong. They don't have a clue about what it takes to drive a CMV, yet they're making all sorts of rules in our behalf (and for our good supposedly).

Better not go there. That's a topic for another board's thread altogether! :biggrin_25522:

    Best regards,

My question about the paperless systems is this; Is there a way that the driver can print/save a copy of the log for his own records.
If I remember correctly, isn't a driver required to save copies of logs for 12 months?

I don't know about for all companies but for Con-Way Truckload you can fax the logs (right from the qualcomm) to yourself if you so desire.
