Hey Sharpshooter! How long has it been since behind the wheel. I haven't been driving for the past 5 years and now no one will hire me due to lack of experience. I was going to take Werner's refresher course and go out with a trainer and now, Since this post I am re-thinking the werner thing.
Which company is best for starting out?

I'm actually going to attend DMACC in Des Moines so that I can keep my options open. I last drove in '95. I'm a displaced worker so I can get Fed Aid for the training. I'm going to play it dumb as a fox, meaning I'm planning on not really divulging the fact I've actually got experience, although be it several years ago. I just don't want to miss learning something because of thinking "I already know that"

Curtster: Do yourself a favor and look to somewhere else. Having lived in the Omaha area for the past 25+ years...I have known plenty of people whom have gone broke driving for them (Werner) They will run you ragged and find a way to cheat you out of your money. Now let me state fully, I have not pulled for them, but know first hand from friends who have.
