Boyd Bros, no contest. neither are very good, but werner is one of the worst companies to work for.

All the starter companies are bad to work for .... I worked for the Big Blue Screw and man I hated it ... you'll be treated like a slave and paid like one too! Be prepared to have to tough it out ... What you have to do is keep your head up, don't get any tickets or have any accidents or incidents and then after six months or so move to a company that is a little better ... stay with that second company for about a year or so, maintain a clean record with on time deliveries and doors to a real trucking job will open up for you. This is the path I followed. Two years in I'm looking at 60k/yr.

If you can afford to get your own authority and then you can only blame yourself for crap loads

Awww man it doesn't matter what company you drive for, you will be able to run nearly 3000 miles and make over a grand a week easy. Make sure you get put on the "Preferred drivers" schedule and you should be able to be home weekends and 3-4 days every holiday as well. Most companies now give at least 3 weeks paid vacation after six months. Also, since you are new to trucking, just tell the fleet managers you want a brand new Peterbilt or Kenworth; should be no problem for most companies out there. Don't forget to get your wash card so they can detail your truck on your weekly home time; nothing like getting back in on Monday morning and smelling that "New car" scent; I love it.

Why are you being such a douche? If you don't know the answer to his questions don't even bother answering.
