Do they provide lodging and meals?
I'm not knocking your choices, just curious.

Good Luck with your search... Abilene was mentioned earlier but unfortunately they don't do the initial CDL Training... But if you are looking for a step up in the future, I would highly recommend them... They are out of Richmond, VA and run 48 State with I95 & I40 being the main two lanes.

I suggest a community college route too as there are no strings to deal with after you get your CDL and looking for a company to drive for. And since its run through an education center, you can get loans for the cost and don't need to start paying it back until after like six months after you complete the program at which you should be driving and making some money.

i suggest this every time I see someone saying they need a company that helps them get a CDL and very few take the advice for some reason but ill tell you anyway...

There is a program for financial aid for skill based classes that aren't eligible for typical federal student aid like an actual degree, its called the WIA program, if you qualify (and most people do the cut off for making too much money is pretty high) they will give you up to 4,000 to pay for school as long as you complete the school you go completely for free as long as the tuition is 4k or less which youll be able to find a school for that.

Youll sign up go to an orientation, do the paperwork to qualify, then take a few hour classes on resume building, interview skills, etc. its about a month long process.

People get hung up on the fact that they need money now and want a company with paid CDL school, but since you are going to a private school you wont have any year long contract with a company that's pay scale will probably reflect in some way that you are forced to stay a year, and you can go to a better company and probably make a good bit more. Also you may be excited about it now, but 6 months from now you may realize its not for you, theres nothing wrong with that but at least you can maybe get into another field, try going local, etc without a contract over your head. Its worth the maybe 1-2 months youll be prolonging your actual company start date. 6 months after I started I decided to go down to a non CDL sprinter van and I didn't have to worry about any hang ups and I still have my CDL if I ever decide to go back to that. You got any questions about it feel free to send me a message on here too few people utilize this free government money that is just going to right back to them when they are under budget for the WIA at the end of the year.

Double check the zip code you used for error. Several companies won't hire if your zip code shows you're east of I-95
