Well I just got approved with Maverick Transportation LLC. I will be attending orientation the 3rd of January 2010 in N. Little Rock, AR. then off to training for Specialized Glass division in Laurinburg, NC. From all what I have read on Maverick this is a very decent company to be associated with. Being a recent CDL grad I am taking this as an honor in becoming a part of their team.

Roadwarrior you can also fill out an ap at cdljobs.com , they send it your app. out to alot of companies and it's free. other than that I guess just keep looking or maybe go to your local Pilot or T/A truck stop and go back to the "magazine" rack there are several "job" magazines that list alot of companies you could call around to. hopefully me typing the cdl job site doesnt get me in trouble..LOL it has no monetary value just alot of connections you could try. good luck to you

Congrats on getting on with Maverick! You could have done a helluva lot worse. Also, thank you for protecting my family, myself, and this Country for all those years in the Corps.
My guess is that you'd be great with whomever hired you, as you seem to have the right attitude going in....

I have read a bunch of great things about KLLM, regardless I have to start somewhere. -
I am about to finish training with Willis Shaw Express (aka WSE Transportation LLC) -
Sounds like you have the background to drive for any of them. However you will be considered a newbee, till you get a few hundred thousand miles under your belt. You will find that hauling commercial freight is a lot different than military gigs.As far as your list goes I can only comment on one company and that is Swift.I drove for them for a short time and in my honest opinion they are the bottom of the barrel.I cant comment on the others ,because it would only be hearsay.Best of luck to you,no matter which one you choose.
