Did I miss something here? Why are you people so jaded? If you can't offer suggestion with or without hair testing, kindly go f*** yourself. There are like 4 other preferences in my question as well.

We are not kind to drug users who want to drive a 80,000 lb missile down the street. Every day someone comes on here with excuses like yours, we're not dumb
Blackshack46 Thanks this. -
Your missing the point. I'll say it again.
You (the original poster) DO NOT need to be driving a truck. Hair test aside. My point still stands. Unles you want a ####ty life for 2 or 3 years. Then @Chinatown can help with a list.
And this is stereotyping of me. But Scranton area puts out most drugs coming from nyc. It's been a proving fact by FBI standards. I love near reading, pa and it's the next stop for drug runners after Scranton.
I personally am not sure of this, but I don't think they'll make you have a bald spot when taking hair. So what is the problem? -

Rambler470 Thanks this.

I don't use drugs of any kind. I have read post by others saying better to not take one because it is an invasion of privacy and what not. I happen to agree.
Also, as already stated I have long hair and it is just starting to thin out the last year or so and I preferably do not want a bald spot on the back of my head. So yes, I looked into it a bit combined with what others have said in school and what not.
If I have to, it's not a problem. But if there are 2 or more equally rated companies in my eyes, and 1 does and the other doesn't, I would go with the one who does NOT. Especially since the results are not DOT accepted 'yet' anyway.
Like I said, just a preference.
Also, I really can't believe I have to explain all this to people I don't know when all I really wanted was a lead on a decent job. But such is life I guess.
I don't want anyone driving a truck who is under the influence either.
But "and I know I'm opening a can of worms here" AND "I'm not talking about myself" if someone smoked a joint 3 months ago, I highly doubt there ability to SAFELY drive a commercial vehicle would still be affected.
I will rephrase the question:
What are some "good" companies I can take a look at that accept recent CDL graduates and also preferably have at least some or most of the following:
1) Home weekly or close
2) Takes new drivers
3) Pay at least average
4) Have some truck perks like APU, XM Radio, Cooler
Thanks... -

So pulling a hair or 2 is an invasion of privacy, but peeing in a cup isn't?
You are going to have to become much better at deception if you want any of us to buy that. -
Carolina Cargo is the best option. They only take top notch drivers but you seem like a motivated guy. They may take you.
DoubleO7 and Rambler470 Thank this.
