I've had five I guess pretty good offers for work after getting my CDL last week...

    - A small company called Gregory Logistics out of Poplar Bluff, MO
    - Maverick Trucking (Reefer Division) out of Little Rock, AR
    - KLLM
    - Crete Carriers
    - Averitt Trans

    Any suggestions?

compare how long you stay out and how many days off, pay, avg length of haul/avg miles per month....
i'd be inclined to pick Maverick out of the group. but what fits me might not fit you. And being new, you prolly don't know how a company might fit.....
so compare what you learn about miles, pay and where they go

Never drove for KLLM but I would stay away from them from what I have heard from some of the drivers. I would also recommend Maverick out of the group.

Flats, reefers dry bulk and tank ALL have pros and cons....
:mwink:personally i like pulling reefers, but anyone that likes doing flats prolly would not. i don't like Tarps and a skateboard driver would not want to stand on cooler dock getting produce.

    Tyson is a good choice.

    Also:
    System Transport
    Melton Truck Lines
    Trailiner

Gregory Logistics looks pretty good on the website, but can't take that for gospel. Many drivers prefer the smaller companies. I would talk to them personally and ask about miles, freight lanes, driver unload, etc.
