I don't think that was true. He was married a few times and had quite a few kids. Doesn't prove anything, but...

I couldn't find anything of the sort searching Google.

extended changes are for bean counters, period
Anyone not wanting to throw their truck away, 15-20k of your choice, I’ve been using mobil delvac, valvoline or rotella are also good choicesStray_Dog Thanks this. -
I prefer rotella t6 in all the trucks, but delvac extreme is ok, all the trucks get an oil analysis and the fleet average for an oil change is around 32k, way down from the peak because we are doing a lot of local work.

Bean counters? Are you assuming synthetic is junk at 20, or dino is good to 40?
Synthetic oils do not break down like conventional. Absolute fact that can not be disputed.
He asked a recommendation and interval, I provided.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Seeing as he is pulling over 100k cummins will consider that severe duty so should be 20k or less no matter what kinda oil he use’s.

I’m running from a local oil distributor, there 15/40 house Blend, exceeds Guardol XCT specks. Also, I dump a gallon of Wally Worlds SuperTech GL 5 gear oil. This is on a ISX 15.
Edit;
Check out R A W Z E(dot)C O M site. He’s a Guru when it comes to ISX engines.Last edited: Aug 9, 2021
