    Hello Everybody,
I am looking to buy a 2011 or newer truck. Which fleets take good care of their trucks?
I want to buy a truck from a fleet that takes care of their equipment.
Any suggestions? What has your experience been. I want to buy truck with less the 500K miles.

    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

I would have thought TMC as well. But, I've heard quiet a few people state that you're only asking for trouble with their Pete's. Most are close, if not Million Milers tractors, however, TMC is pretty hardcore on preventive maintenance and routing inspections, are they not? I would have figured that TMC would be choice number 1 as far as buying in the "Used" market.

Anyone else have any thing to add of the pros and cons of ex TMC rigs?

Seeing a lot of Milton's blue KW's showing up on Truck Paper with just over 400k on them with headache racks still with the units. Don't know much about Milton's operation, (other than they pull flats around) and how abused these trucks are, but may be worth a look. Crap, is it Melton or Milton? I forget. ;)

the last place i would buy a truck from is a training company
    any training company
good maintenance only goes so far over poor driver skills

many companies have small fleets that trade every 3 years
that had extended warranties so were taken care of

to me freightliner has the best warranty pkg so everything is well taken care of
not to say freightliner is the best option just my experience

salesman should be able to tell you truck history

Agreed. You may have to dig and dig deep to find good maintained equipment from a smaller private fleet but it's going to be worth it. I quickly found this truck, a glider from a private fleet and fits your criteria.

    Good luck with your search.

Yes, Melton Truck Lines. I was going to suggest them, but you beat me to it. Their trucks have Tripac APU's also.

My son has bought a few EX COMPANY tractors in the past few years started with a FRLR CLASSIC XL from WERNER then 2 PETES and 2 CASCADIAS from PRIME all 5 are still running and had no problems with them I had more problems with FACTORY FRESH CASCADIAS and KW T660's ,680's in the same time period , the PRIME trucks were lower mileage than most fleets and came with new tires and warranty left on them.

There's a fleet that takes care of their trucks? Who knew! I'd never buy from a fleet.
