Which is better: percentage of load or pay by mile?

    If you know the business, the numbers the business should have, the truck, the trucking company management, and the customers; percentage can pay off.

    If you don't know all that intimately, and obviously if you are asking this question, you don't; you are better off to stay far away from percentage pay because it is far easier for your boss to rip you off.

    My company pays 65%. They take gross minus fsc on load then calculate 65% then add back fsc. They also use same formula to calculate stop pay. Deduct stops and fsc from gross then fig 65% from that number then add back stops and fsc
    Example 850 gross on 553mi fsc or 133.00 .
    850 - 133= 716
    65% of 716 = 466.05
    466.05 + 133 = 599.05 to truck.
