which is better Roadmaster, or c1 indianapolis Indiana

    which is a better school to go to, they both have their pros, and cons, but i would like to go to the worse trucking company you guys think is Star trans for a yr so i can have my CDL A, so i can use it as a back up and after that i can go locally like dumptruck or get on a big time courier service to that as it all like semis to cars, but i have 1 ding on my operator license its a driving while suspended, i was told by schneider that i would have to wait until March of 08 before they would even look at me as a driver

    They are both about the same. Pretty much just CDL mills. The real question is do you think you can handle all of the bs you will have to put up with? If so then either one will get you were you want to go.

    yea i know, i'm a courier in the Indianapolis based company now i drive a 1 ton diesel cargo van, and i get more and more of the car runs then most cargo van drivers do i was told that they had enough cargo van runs then what they know what to do with

    I would go with Driver Solutions.. they're really not a "CDL mill". I went there for training and they turn away A LOT of people for all kinds of reasons, so it's not like they will take anybody with a pulse. Roadmaster, not so much. Besides, Driver Solutions pays you while you're in training and they have company-sponsored programs which means you get hired with a company before you start school and they cover the cost for you. I think with Roadmaster you have to pay for all your classes and they don't really have any placement assistance.
    I chose Driver Solutions out of Indy over Roadmaster and I am really happy with my decision. It's up to you in the end but I just feel like I got more personal attention at C1 than I would have gotten at RM.

    Driver Solutions hands down. I know three people who have gone through their program...2 in Indianapolis and one in St. Louis. All of them liked the training...I think it is 3 weeks.

    Anyway, I live about an hour south of Indianapolis and drive by school every once in a while doing deliveries. The school looks brand new and they have 15-25??? Trucks. Remember it is a sponsored program...and you have to stay with your initial company 1 year or you'll have to pay back the tuition. My cousin drives for Decker(a division of PAM) and loves it. He went to the Indy campus

    Roadmaster is a much smaller operation and as far as I know still require about $1000 down. I'm sure it's a decent program, but I'd go with DS.
