Which of the megas have reasonably short training periods?

I'm about to pull the trigger after working as a 4 wheel 1099 medical courier for 4-5 years. Money was good until the owner decided that the casinos are much more fun than paying contractors and employees alike. As such, I'm considering signing up with Rocky Mountain Truck Driving School here in Albuquerque, NM.

I'll make a note here: I'm sure that the first reaction that many of you will have is that I shouldn't be asking the title question; that I should do several weeks or months in on the job training. The thing is, I'm not too keen on spending a couple months with a cell mate: someone I don't know from Adam in a sleeper that makes the worst county jail look comfortable, private, and roomy.

I'm confident that I'll be able to stand being in such close quarters for a couple weeks, but if I'm stuck with several months, it's game over. I'm also confident that my current skill set (road and aviation) will give me an edge over the average CDL mill graduate, but please ignore that if your goal is just to put me in my place.

Any reply with constructive advice will be appreciated.

    TransAm is 12 days.

Uh Oh, I don't think NM is in the hiring area for TransAm. Call and ask in case the website isn't up to date.

Watkins Shepard you go through 2 weeks on site training then you go solo. Never ride with anyone over the road.

Watkins-Shepard is 10 days, but he's too far from a terminal. I think a driver has to live within 150 miles.

wouldn't want him bouncing off the walls with someone else called a trainer.. he can wait and do that by himself if he doesnt lose it during training.
