955 if your into SSB otherwise good old proven Connex 3300HP...
Can’t go wrong with 3300 for AM operation.
Which one of these radios do I want?

Some of those radios are showy with all those blingy lights. Ugh. Bleah.
We did a touch of ham a long time ago. It's quite something in those days. Listen to Heathrow saying Concorde speedbird clear to take off. (British Airways) or take in a game from Europe. Or wherever you wanted on anything that is not encrypted or higher frequency military communications. (NEAD combat center Rochester comes to mind, they operate with antennas that defy reason but are able to talk to Doom 61 or the Death Star at Mars...)
The best in radio for me was listening to the Am radio from 33rd street ball game in Memorial below Druid Hill Resivour off St Lo while the TV color took care of the simulcast in the hot summer nights. You could almost understand how the people in the Stadium were doing as they worked on the game, got Natty Boh and Brats and took care of the kids and so on.Rideandrepair and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
