Which starter companies suck the least?

Wow...ABF Freight System - teamsters union is based a few miles from my house in Southlake, TX

 

Crete has a hard time getting west coast drivers home
Most there fleet lives back east there freight out west
Is pretty bad I heard they keep those drivers 6-7 weeks
Lol I would not start out with crete home time is iffy
Pays pretty good
I drive for them so there's my 2 cents

You say SW, in near AZ, Watkins Shepard is a good starter company, NO trainer time and paper logs!

 

If you are a risk taker, you could skip the 2 to 3 years with the Mega-Carriers pulling a dry box all over the country.

Consider Oil Patch or Line Haul like ABF or ODFL.

These line haul companies have never hired students out of school in my life time.

But they are now! Take advantage of it. I am reading on this forum that ODFL is hiring students. There may be others.

If you are in Southlake, maybe you could pull a Container out of Haslet? Not the greatest of jobs by any means, but you would be home.
