Which Swift school would I go to?

Very true. I'm from the El Paso area, and I've been sent to San Antonio. We also had a couple of guys from the Amarillo area sent down here.

 

Idaho was good! I talked to a guy today from OK who went to San Antonio... said he had to surrender his OK lic. and get a TX lic. Odd huh!

 

i am from mt. and was routed to phoenix, lewiston is where i was going to but they only do one class a month. so phoenix was it.. it is set up to weed people out. from day one... if u make it at least 17 days quickest time.. they do help u out by giving you chances.. i took all of them.. recycled twice. still passed.. believe me i earned my cdl.. they at phoenix have their own testers so you dont have to leave the range for testing... easy to get licence at the dmv there.. quick.. then back to home state to transfer your license back to your home state.. now i am going to lewiston, id for orentation and mentor for 6 weeks.... looking for it. only 14 hr bus ride.. yeah.. hope this helps u all out.. i know eventually every state will have their own testing sites set up per the regs coming out.. dont know when that will be implemented... found alot ofpoints to look at...

 

the colledge training will get the cdl but unfortunatly, credial wise better to go to certified trucking schools... industry is looking at colledge as not enough prepardiness vs trucking schools. even tho some places will take you if you show up bottom line is the collledge should be last resort.. i reached before going to swift and even tho that was last option because schools started later that it is winding up to be the better choice... when u get passed the 2nd week u are at the 95 to 97 percent level...it took from fe 20 to the march 30 to get through it was well worth it.. plus an nice senic driving of phoenix and a tan..... that is a bonus... i am glad to have gone through it all. instructors was great and everyone has a positve attitude... and its about safety... goal of swift...
