Hi, my company, Covenant (no jokes, I am happy with them), is putting solo drivers into the new Cascadia or ProStar. What are the good and bad on both?
Which truck is best

They both have some pretty good features. I think the Prostar is the better choice overall. No OEM seems to install decent coax for the CB, so when I was a company driver, I would run another coax and antenna mount. You can do that with a Prostar, but the Cascadia has one armed mirrors, like the KW T2000, and makes it hassle to try to do anything like that, or even to mirror mount an XM/Sirius antenna. Also, the Prostar front end will extend out, when the hood is lifted, to allow you to actually get inside the tire area to reach the engine to do something, like change a fuel filter. May not be a necessary for a company driver, but it sure is handy for an owner (but may be necessary for a company driver to on a real cold day when a fuel filter clogs up). There are a number of other little things like this that make the Prostar a better deal IMO. International really stepped up in making the Prostar a lot more comfortable and quiet compared to most of their previous models. It seems that International listened to driver input a little more than Freightliner did. The Cascadia is a pretty good ride, but I still think the Prostar edges it out overall.
