If you buy a truck with a Cummings ISX get ready to shell out 5 grand a year in repairs. Thats if you take good care of it, I'm not joking.

Wow, you had some major issues with the 2012 T660. I somehow tried to tell myself that the new technology couldn't be that bad. But it is

I dang sure wouldn't trade my '99 W9 for a T660. And I like this N14 better than any ISX I've ever driven, and I've driven several.

Newer does not mean better. Especially with trucks.

And if you do go ahead and buy a newer one and it's not covered by a warranty, make sure you have enough to delete all that crap off as soon as you buy it.

I bought the W9 for 13K. Guy had paperwork for the Cummins N14. He bought the dang thing from Vander Haags for 8K.

I feel like there had to be something wrong that I'm missing. Only issue I could find was a possible tranny leak around the input shaft... There was some fluid in the bell housing which I will have to look into a little more... He tried to say he might have over greased the throw out bearing when he did the clutch but it looked like gear oil. I figured at the price I paid I can afford to fix many things. and the motor runs strong. I'll do an oil analysis soon.

Truck came with a nice CB, 4 extra tires, spare air filter, and a few other parts.

He was going to sell the truck to the first person who showed up with cash so I went for it.

Good deal. I'd take the N14 over an ISX any day. Fix it up and, in the end, the W900 will be worth more than the T660. Also, as an added bonus, you don't have to run EOBR.

Good point Joetro... The EOBR mandate won't apply to trucks built before 2000. Didn't even think of that bonus.
