Dang BlackCat! You have 200+ shower credits? You ought to bathe more often. :) I don't see how that's possible when they erase your shower credits after 7 days.

I like Pilot because, ummmmm, I was forced to fuel there.
I like Flying J because I get to pay 20% more for everything. Where else an you buy a burnt Pterodactyl dinosaur leg in the deli?
I like Love's because they stopped selling my favorite drink.
I like TA because of the dirty utensils and hair in my food experiences.
I do like Petro's fuel island deli for a change from the other fast food. They would have to be my top choice.

But do you like liver or beef tongue is our choices.

I'm guessing you are either talking about "The Midway Diner" Exit 16 I-78 or "The All American"(Now a Pilot--but restaurant still the same)at Exit 10 on 78
And rollover--I know the Bandit is a Dump LOL--BUT--it doesn't actually have a restaurant--although there is a Diner(seperate owners and building)next door and T/S parking wraps around both--reason I mention this--is neither are owned by Middle easterners--Now the OLD Trexler plaza was taken over by them and went to hell--and was torn down few years back--it has just reopened--much cleaner--but no actual restaurant--but is foreign owned--BUT-they are real nice hard workin kids!

Buckhorn TA Buckhorn PA. I don't know much about truck stop quality yet, but I liked this one.

Yeah, the diner was separate but we always called it the Bandit! It was for a while owned by them as far back as the winter of 07/08 because I was snowed in for 2 days and yep that's who they were and the bacon was always undercooked!
I miss the ladies from back in the early 90's in their white pants that were almost see through!
The blonde waitress, I can't remember her name but she sure did like those tiny bikini undergarments! :biggrin_25514:

The same people that owned the Bandit and diner for years still own the property, they just don't run the businesses. Both are rented out separately, and the diner is rented to middle easterners. IMO the food is not good.

Keep in mind that i have no love for any of the choices you listed, but to answer the question, out of all 5 i would say i like petro the best.

This does not mean i like them and it does not mean they are the best. Just the best compared the 4 other miserable choices.

As far as individual truckstops which may or may not have truckstop chain affiliations the T/A amarillo is pretty good and the Gateway breezwood, also a T/A is excellent in both cleanliness and food quality. And of course, iowa 80 is good. But for the most part T/A's are despicable.

The petro in N. baltimore ohio is one of the best truckstops i've been to period.

The sanitary conditions/eating areas and especially restroom sanitary conditions for truckstops in general is a F##### embarassment. This is the USA and it's 2011 and we can't even get this right?!?

The key is not only decent managment (a rarity these days) but also NOT hiring trailer trash and/or ghetto dwellers.

IMHO--you are being very kind--saying the food is not GOOD! LOL--and with the last change in management--even the coffee is deadly!

My favorite truck stop is Iowa 80. I like just about all the others, but usually use Pilot for rewards. .
I have been to many truck stops, good and bad. But the worst I have visited has been I-55 in Bolingbrook, just outside of Chicago.
