Are you that self centered to complain about his video? He is making a video for our enjoyment. What did you think the video would show, progressive shifting and double clutching? Come on, please be realistic.

I have yet to hear a holset that is any where near as loud as the turbo that was used on the 1693, the HT3 that was used on the big cam has a nice sound through the exhaust, but not much on the compressor side. It all comes down to how many blades are on the compressor wheel that will determine how loud it will be. A 6 blade wheel is very loud, a 9 blade wheel is almost inaudible.

I've never been a fan of loud pipes and obnoxious jakes, but I do love a good turbo whistle. It's a soothing sound to my ears, and every now and then I like to turn off the stereo and CB and just sit back and listen to that turbo whine. The company I drive for runs mostly Volvos and Freightliners, and while I personally prefer the Volvo I do envy the Freightliners for their much louder turbos. Last spring the flexpipe came loose off my turbo and I have to say I really enjoyed driving it to the shop like that.

Those Scanias sound like they have ghosts chasing them or something when they shift, would probably give me nightmares if I heard that in the middle of the night, lol...

That new 6.7 Powerstroke sounds pretty evil like that with a straightpipe too.
