I care. I'm buying the truck. Last thing I need is problems, regardless if they're warranties or not, from some shady dealer trying to cover up problems by dumping the old oil. There are countless stories on here people screwed over on aftermarket warrantied or not. Like I said, warranty companies are not in business to lose money.

So the old oil in the filter never cycles through the motor? I think your idea is off a little. The PPM will be less on new oil than after it has been run a thousand miles.

I understand full well how analyses PPM works. Pee in a cup and certain chemicals will be so many PPM. Dump that cup of pee in a swimming pool and those same chemical PPM will be less. Maybe you need a definition of parts per million? The more diluted the sample is the less PPM.

Maybe he would understand this way. Pee in a swimming pool and drink the water you wouldn't notice the taste. Pee in a cup and drink it and most would notice the taste. Works both ways.

If who wants the deal? The seller? Seriously? That sample comes back bad then a buyer would be a fool to buy it and take the gamble, the warranty company would be just as foolish to then knowingly warranty it! Bad deal all the way around IMO. Rollin nailed it. A buyer needs to do their due diligence first and do their best to have enough in the bank to roll with any punches they may have to take along the way.

Doing what? You haven't actually said. I suppose we could start trying to guess. Posting on the internet? I'm calling Shenanigans, the internet and internet forums haven't been around for 25 years.

    To whom it may concern,

I am one who writes many positive reviews about companies and reward them when they deserve it, but this is one that I want to take time and inform other semi owners that American Truck Protection is an illegitimate company with one large scam. I was very excited when I learned about American Truck Protection and how they would cover a number of different engine and transmission parts. I believed what the company claimed they would do. I went on and put the largest front and rear end coverage on my 2009 388 Peterbilt. This is the first truck I had put warranty on and was planning on doing my other trucks until this happened. They had me take the truck into an authorized dealer and have it go through multiple test to make sure the truck was not already having a problem. I believe I paid around $2500 for the inspection, test, and their warranty. The truck was straight and had no problems. I drove the truck 46k miles hauling grain. I was concerned when the head gasket started leaking. As you know an overhaul is coming. I took it into my local cat authorized dealer and had them call American Truck Protection. American Truck Protection told me they do not cover head gaskets and would not help me at all on my cost of an overhaul. What is the point of giving them money? They did not cover anything? I just want to let you guys know that this company is not in business for the right reasons. I would be more than willing to inform others on the situation. I feel that their website is very misleading. I am not a fan of negative reviews but I am really not a fan of American Truck Protection Warranty company. It is hard to pass on a good word when you do everything as stated and believe that a company is standing behind you, when in actuality they are not. Thank you.
