I have bought the NTP warranty on a 2003 W900L KW in 2005, which covered the Engine, Trans, and axles. Had it for two weeks and trans started jumping out of gear. Took it back to the Peterbuilt Dealer in Ringgold GA, they refused to do anything on it and told me it was my problem.
Went to the KW Place in Chattanooga, they were great and fixed the trans, with only fifty bucks coming out of my pocket. NTP took care of the rest. Just had to overnight some parts to them for them to ensure the parts were broke. They paid for that.
Bought 2007 T600 in 2012 with a cat engine, bought the NTP warranty on same stuff, never had to use it, but if I had it could have have broke me for sure.
When I bought both of the trucks before NTP would warranty them, each one had to had truck checked out and pass inspection. Didn't cost me but 250.00 for each truck, but they checked all fluids and did dyno test to make sure engine was ok.
Would I do it again? Not sure if I will buy another truck, but if I do I would do so again as they have proved good for me when I needed them to.
I have my oil checked at each oil change, I believe in this very much, as 6 months ago, started showing lead and metal, had the bottom end done and those levels went away!
I wouldn't send my dog to the Peterbuilt Dealer in Ringgold GA though, they are the pitts! -
This particular post reminds me of a comical situation we had here in Portland Oregon where someone was caught urinating into a reservoir for the major Metropolitan city of Portland.
What was the city's reaction to this?
Believe it or not they drained the whole Reservoir!! And keep in mind this IS an OPEN Reservoir where birds and other animals poop and piss in daily! along with trees and other contaminants just in the air.
Most people only piss about 8 oz. if that where he was caught peeing on video, there wasn't even enough to drip down the sides to even contact the water. Probably hundreds of thousands of gallons.
Anyway the equivalence of flushing a giant toilet for a drop of piss
